Ravil Maganov: Russian Lukoil chief dies in 'fall from hospital window


The president of Russia's Lukoil oil painting mammoth, Ravil Maganov, has died after falling from a sanitarium window in Moscow, reports say.


The company verified his death but said only that Maganov, 67, had" passed down following a severe illness".

Russian media said he was being treated at Moscow's Central Clinical Hospital and failed of his injuries.
Maganov is the rearmost of a number of high- profile business directors to die in mysterious circumstances.
probing authorities said they were working at the scene to establish how he failed. Tass news agency quoted sources saying he'd fallen out of a sixth- bottom window beforehand on Thursday morning, adding latterly that he'd taken his own life.
Shortly after Russia raided Ukraine, the Lukoil board called for the conflict to end as soon as possible, expressing its sympathy to victims of" this tragedy".

Its billionaire chairman, Vagit Alekperov, abnegated in April after the UK assessed warrants on him in response to the irruption.

Lukoil is Russia's biggest private company. In its statement it said it was down to Maganov's directorial gift that it had evolved into one of the world's largest energy enterprises.

He began working for the private oil painting company in 1993 and took over as president two times agone . Three times ago he was given a continuance achievement award by President Vladimir Putin.

Maganov had been entering treatment at a sanitarium on the western outskirts of Moscow, which is known for having Russia's political and business nobility among its cases.

Mikhail Gorbachev failed at the Central Clinical Hospital on Tuesday and President Putin visited the point on Thursday morning to lay flowers beside his pall.
